Program Objective
The CRTT is designed to provide dancers with a profound understanding of the Conscious Release Method© principles while equipping them with the essential tools to teach this approach with authenticity.
This training is based on five fundamental pillars:
Introduction to the notion of Release and Manipulation
- Description of the notion of release (theory and philosophy)
- Protocol of manipulation and fundamental principles
The Laws of Physics Applied to Dance
- Free fall, Ballistic and optimal energy use
- Relationship with gravity and movement transmission
- Chain of movement
The Cartesian Axis and Anatomy in Motion
- Understanding the skeletal structure and body alignment
- Exercises for alignment and movement efficiency
Touch and Subtlety: Partnering Techniques
- Trust and sensory interaction in partner work
- Exploration of weight-sharing and dynamic relationships
The Compositional Mind and Choreographic Creation
- Developing a personal choreographic language
- Improvisation and composition structuring exercises
Who Can Apply to CRTT?
Professional dance experience Candidates must be professional dancers with a strong commitment and dedication to their practice. Applicants must provide proof of completion of a contemporary dance education program, a B.A., or an equivalent qualification
Prior experience with Conscious Release© Applicants must have attended at least two Conscious Release© workshops before enrolling.
Interest in teaching The program is designed for dancers and performers who are eager to develop skills in movement transmission and pedagogy.
Language proficiency The course is taught primarily in English, but some translation may be available in French and Spanish. Participants should have a good command of at least two of these languages.
Full participation Students must be available to attend all five in-person modules and fully engage in both theoretical and practical sessions.
Final evaluation Each participant will be required to teach a Conscious Release© class as part of the certification process.
How is CRTT Structured?
CRTT consists of five modules spread throughout the year
Module Schedule:
Introduction to Release + Manipulation (protocols and development).
Principles of Physics Laws / Free fall and Ballistic.
The Cartesian Axe and effective use of anatomical tools.
Touch and subtle use of the hands / Partnering techniques
The Compositional Mind + Students CR teachings
How is Each Module Organized?
Morning
Transmission of key concepts and principles
Evening
Practical experience, analysis, and Q&A sessions
What Will the CRTT Program Provide You?
A solid foundation to teach the Conscious Release© Method authentically
You will be equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to transmit this methodology while respecting its core principles. This training will provide you with a structured yet adaptable teaching approach, allowing you to tailor your classes to different student needs.
A deep understanding of body mechanics and movement efficiency
Through an in-depth exploration of biomechanics, gravity, free fall, and energy transmission, you will develop a refined awareness of how movement originates, flows, and transforms. You will learn to work with body weight, tension release, and alignment, optimizing effort while fostering fluidity in motion.
A holistic approach to dance that integrates philosophy, physics, and creativity
The Conscious Release© Method goes beyond technique—it encourages dancers to connect movement with intention, perception, and somatic awareness. By engaging with concepts from philosophy, quantum physics, and movement analysis, you will gain a unique perspective on dance as an interaction between consciousness and physical matter.
Advanced pedagogical skills and teaching confidence
Throughout the program, you will explore different ways to guide students through verbal cues, hands-on adjustments, and sensory awareness techniques. The training will strengthen your ability to observe movement patterns, offer constructive feedback, and foster an environment where students can explore their own physical expressivity.
The ability to develop a personal choreographic language
Through guided improvisation and compositional research, you will learn to create and recognize movement vocabulary that emerge organically. This method encourages dancers to create from within.
A profound transformation in your relationship with movement
The CRTT is not just a technical training—it is an immersive experience that reshapes the way you sense, perceive, and move. Many dancers describe a newfound sense of freedom, a deeper listening to their body, and an ability to release unnecessary tensions that once limited their physical potential.
The book of the Conscious Release© Method
At the end of the program, each student will receive a detailed book outlining the theoretical and practical foundations of the method. This book will serve as a valuable resource for teaching, self-study, and further exploration of the method’s principles.
